Welcome to the HAM-page of Anders LA9NKA
As you migth have guessed allready, I am a licensed amateur radio operator (HAM), currently holding the callsign LA9NKA. I got my license back in December of 1995, and was licensed with the callsign LC3HAT (former no-code VHF+ license) until August of 2003 when the morse requirement for HF access was removed here in Norway. I first became active on the radio late in the summer of 1996, then operating on the 2 meter band only.
Currently I am equipped to operate on all HF bands (allmode) and on the 2 meter band (in FM only). For details about my operating equipment, have a look at my equipment page.
For more information about what amateur radio is all about, have a look at this info page.
If you want to know more about me, you can have a look at my personal homepage.
Feel free to have a look around these pages, and also to sign my guestbook if you have any comments or suggestions. For urgent messages, please send by e-mail since it may go weeks between each time I check my guestbook .
My location is in the west coast of Norway, on a small island called Røttingen, which is located in the municipality of Os, about 30 kilometres south of the city Bergen.
This island is rather small, only about 1,5 km2 in area, and is a part of a group of small islands called Søre Øyane (Southern Islands), which have a population of approximately 692 people (as of November 2001). |

Most of these islands are connected with each other and with the mainland with bridges.
For the island hunters out there, the island where I live is located in the IOTA (Islands On The Air) group EU-055. |
